When I started Mona Moon Naturals, my mission was clear: to create small-batch body products that nurture both mind and body. Our products are made with natural, recognizable clean ingredients, free from parabens, and harmful chemicals. They’re gentle on the environment and tested only on humans. But there's another important aspect to our philosophy that I'd like to share with you: our commitment to sustainable packaging.
We ingest approximately five grams of plastic weekly.
Prioritizing Health with Safe Packaging
Using plastic to store and package products can change the chemical composition of the products inside. Many plastics contain harmful chemicals like BPA and phthalates, which can leach into the product, especially when exposed to heat or light. This means that even if you’re using a product made with clean, natural ingredients, storing it in plastic can introduce unwanted chemicals that can affect your health.
Protecting the Environment
Plastic pollution is a significant environmental issue. It's estimated that 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year, harming marine life and ecosystems. Reducing our reliance on plastic is a crucial step toward protecting our planet.

At Mona Moon Naturals, we believe that what you put on your body should be as pure and nourishing as what you put in it. That’s why we almost exclusively package our products in tin, glass (that may be recycled or reused), or compostable tubes. These materials are not only better for the environment but also safer for you and your family.
Tin and glass are excellent options because they don’t react with the ingredients in our products. They help maintain the integrity and effectiveness of our formulations, ensuring that you get the full benefits of our natural, healing ingredients. Compostable tubes are another great choice, as they break down naturally and reduce waste, aligning with our commitment to environmental sustainability.
